William Denby "Bill" Hanna was an American animator, director, producer, voice actor, and cartoon artist. He co-created Tom and Jerry with Joseph Barbera during their time at the MGM cartoon studio. He also provided the vocal effects for Tom Cat from Tom and Jerry from 1942 to 1958. Archive recording of his screams are still used for future Tom & Jerry media.
