Tom Pinfold
At the start of the year he was working for the Royal Navy on the 70th Anniversary Battle of the Atlantic Commemorations in Liverpool before moving down to Sussex to work on Tudor Monastery Farm, his first foray into television (despite working briefly behind the scenes on Victorian Farm in 2007).
Our cows Gwen and Graceful were given to diva moments whenever they decided they were hungry or bored.
Tom Pinfold
He is passionate about British military history but strongly believes that social and military history are closely interlinked and none more so than in Britain. This was emphasised by the practice of longbow archery in Medieval and Tudor times. He believes that by looking at both military and social one can get a far broader understanding of our history.
As well as working in and studying archaeology and history he volunteers at the Cheshire Military Museum transcribing First World War diaries in preparation for the Centenary 2014.
