When I was a kid, the Beast scared the hell out of me. I remember cowering in the corner and never being able to watch Disney’s Beauty and the Beast () past maybe the minute mark. My sister would tease me for being afraid and I insisted that the Beast was really scary. He yelled, screamed, made demands, and threw his weight around as everyone in his presence quaked with fear. By the time I was about 10 years old or so, I managed to get over my fear of the Beast.
