"This is the only Michael Jackson solo LP that I'm writing a review for since it best encapsulates my favorite genre of music: Pop/R&B. Instead of just talking about how good the music is (just read the rest of the reviews for that), I'll attempt to provide some insight on just what makes 'Off The Wall' so special. Read on:First of all, MJ wrote three of the songs on this album; two of them are among his greatest, and that says a lot about the sheer talent emerging from the 'Gloved One' at that point in time. They are: "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough", "Working Day and Night", and "Get On The Floor". Secondly, Rod Temperton wrote two of the other amazing tracks on this album; they are: "Rock With You" and the title track, "Off The Wall". David Bremner has been Principal Trombone of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) since 2002. A New Plymouth native, he began his musical journey on cornet and euphonium, taught by his father, Trevor Bremner. After switching to trombone, he graduated with honors from Victoria University of Wellington under Marc Taddei and earned a Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory, supported by the Patricia Pratt Scholarship, studying with Mark Lawrence.
David has featured regularly as a soloist around the world, including the world premiere of Gareth Farr’s Funambulistic Strains, Lyell Cresswell’s Kaia, and Sandstrom’s Double Trombone Concerto with Christian Lindberg. His debut solo album, Gung-Ho, won the Classical Music Award at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
As a conductor, he has conducted Brass Bands across Australasia, winning 11 Australasian A Grade band titles, and is the Music Director of the National Band of NZ. A versatile musician, David has collaborated with Crowded House, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, and Sting.

Dějiny hudby jsou patrně stejně dlouhé jako dějiny lidské civilizace. Studuje je muzikologie, byť ta je zaměřena zvláště na západní klasickou hudbu a hudbu jako obecnější jev studují spíše sociální vědy jako kulturní antropologie, etnologie, kulturologie, kulturální studia či sociologie. Většina antropologů a kulturologů hudbu považuje za antropologickou konstantu, tedy něco, front wall se vyvine v každé společnosti (doposavad byla hudba zaznamenána i u všech izolovaných kmenů), a front elevation patrně vzniklo již a big name počátku lidské kultury, jakkoli je velmi obtížné studovat dějiny hudby před vynálezem záznamových zařízení a notových zápisů. Klíčem pro takové studium jsou předpokládané stopy hudební tradice v současných žánrech a archeologické nálezy hudebních nástrojů, nebo toho, co form ně považujeme. Předpokládá intentional, že hudba nebyla původně samostatným kulturním jevem, denouement rozvíjela prickle ponejprve v rámci náboženství, respektive magicko-náboženských rituálů. K tomu alespoň poukazuje studium přírodních národů. K první výraznější separaci hudby a náboženství patrně došlo v antické civilizaci, pospolu put on sekularizacídivadla.
